Draca was stunned, delighted, and not willing to hide how she felt, what she was thinking about this moment and what was changing.
Leaning into that touch, her eyes closing as she gave the smuggest of smirks, unwilling to move away from that touch. "We likely should have done this sooner," she said, always the one to have the smart comment, to push things a bit further. If only that she had always been taught to do just that.
Cassi grinned when Draca closed her eyes and watched that smirk form on her
mouth. It was a lovely mouth, she had to admit. "Much sooner," she
said with a laugh. She wasn't surprised by that comment. Not in the least.
She leaned in and pressed another kiss to the other girl's lips, stepping
in even closer to her.
She was surprised by the turn of the evening. Surprised but not at all
disappointed by it. Hermione and Ron would call her obsessed with her
but... it wasn't really that. Though, surely there might have been
some strong interest there. She couldn't help it. As much as they
frustrated each other, she was captivated by her.
Certainly Draca had hoped things would come to this, but to finally have this be a reality, she couldn't help but think about all the time they'd lost.
Sliding an arm around Cassi's waist, pulling her in close to her side and holding her close as their mouths met in that second kiss.
"They'll think you're mad when they learn," she teased, her mouth brushing to Cassi's cheek as she spoke.
"They already think I'm mad," she teased her with a smile, brushing her mouth over Draca's cheek in response. She dropped her broom to loop both arms around the other girl. She felt happy. Which while more common now was still a relatively new feeling.
Especially considering it was Draca Malfoy who made her happy.
"I thought for sure you would run off," she admitted with a smile, pulling away just long enough to look at her, brushing her cheek with her thumb.
Brooms, everything else, it was forgotten. Just focusing on Cassi as Draca pulled her closer. Savoring the way this felt, having soft curves in her arms and that beautiful, perfect face next to her own.
"What? Why would you ever think that?" Truly stunned by that comment, turning her head enough to kiss the pad of Cassi's thumb. "You're mad, truly," she teased. "But not enough to make me run off."
Cassi took the moment to savor the feel of Draca's body against hers - soft curves and her face... her mouth... those eyes. She smiled and watched Draca kiss her thumb and bit down on her bottom lip in response before letting it go. "Because you're... you and I'm... well, me. I didn't think you would think of me in the same way," she said, her cheeks flushed red.
She felt her heart beat quicken knowing that this was real, this was happening. Oh she hadn't dared to think that this would actually become reality but it did. It was.
"Oh good," she said with a smile before leaning in and pressing another kiss to Draca's mouth. She slid her fingers through Draca's hair, wanting to feel the softness between her fingers, having always wondered how it would feel. Was that weird? She was sure it was.
"I'm a Malfoy, and you are the most perfect woman I could chosen to have in my life," she said, arching a brow at Cassi. "Is that what you're trying to say?"
It was a challenge, one not easily answered without denying she was deserving of a Malfoy, and it was definitely intentionally done on Draca's part.
Definitely not running though as she leaned into the kiss, sighing at that tender touch, of tasting the sweetness on Cassi's lips.
Cassi laughed at the look on Draca's face. It was more than she could have expected. This whole thing had felt so tentative at first and now... this, all of this. "Yes, that is exactly what I'm trying to say," she said with another soft laugh then gave her a warm smile.
They both knew their pasts. Golden Girl. Princess of Slytherin. They were an unlikely duo (or maybe so they think).
Cassi pressed in closer to the other girl with a hum, smiling. "I can become addicted to those," she murmured after slowly pulling away to look at her.
It felt so odd, in every way that was perfect in her mind. She needed this, and needed to find that they truly had a chance because Draca had not until she met Cassi found anyone she felt she could be close to. Not for any sort of a length of time.
"Good, I'm glad to hear you say it," she teased, stroking back a beautiful lock of Cassi's hair. "Good. I plan to keep you indulged in them for a long time."
Feeling Draca's hand stroking back a piece of her hair made Cassi smile. "Is that right," she asked with a smile. "I look forward to that then." It was so easy to plan for a future, of some kind, here on the darkened grounds of the Quidditch pitch. But whether or not, in the light of day, they could make this work... well, Cassi would wait and see.
She wanted it to. But her past told her things didn't always work out so golden for the Golden Girl.
"Now, did we want to finish our game or do you need to head back in," she asked with a smile, glancing at her. Lights out would be soon and she knew Draca would need to get back in before that with the snitch. If she was gone still, her friends may start to worry. They hadn't been out here for too long so perhaps they still had time.
Cassi lifted a hand and slid her fingers through Draca's hair. She'd always been captivated by this girl, ever since they met on the train. She exhaled a soft breath and looked in those gray eyes. "You're beautiful," she said without even thinking.
"I want to stay here with you," she murmured, leaning into the touch of Cassi's hand against her hair. Smiling then, looking proud and delighted at the same time. "While I'm aware of that? Hearing it from you makes everything different," she admitted.
And it did. She's always been beautiful, but she knows Cassi means so much more than perfect features crafted by Veela blood. And that means so much more to Draca.
Leaning in, kissing her so tenderly. Wanting more, even craving it, but knowing that this would be enough. At least for now, for the time they have together.
"When do you have to be back?" In other words, when will they start looking for you?
Cassi smiled, very pleased to hear her say that. "Good because I want to stay here with you too," she murmured and pressed a kiss to the same cheek she had kissed so suddenly earlier. This wasn't how she expected the night to go but it was so much better than she'd imagined.
She sighed into that kiss, wanting so much more at that moment and teasingly licked at the girls bottom lip. She loved how Draca tasted.
"I have some time," she murmured. At least another thirty minutes before someone started to get worried. "Do you want to keep flying or move to one of the stands and see what else we can get up to?" She had a teasing smile on her mouth as she watched Draca's face.
It started the first moment they came to Hogwarts, and now Draca can't imagine life without Cassi in it. It hasn't even been that long, yet it's a huge length of their life maturing. From being young girls, to growing up into the women they were. Women who knew what the wanted, and the lives they wanted for themselves.
Her hand took Cassi's and gave a tug. "Come on. Stands sounds good to me," she murmurs, meaning it, wanting time when they aren't busy, aren't competing, when they're just together.
